Sometimes, making a difference doesn’t require a major project, just a few willing people, a couple of hours and a desire to help.
Volunteers from SureSafe Electrics (Widnes) Ltd and Halton BID recently joined forces to support a Halebank resident who had been struggling to maintain her garden.
Due to difficult personal circumstances over the years, the garden had become heavily overgrown and had also accumulated unwanted items and rubbish. What had once been a space to enjoy had become increasingly difficult to manage.
The team rolled up their sleeves, grabbed the gardening equipment and got stuck in despite encountering a few very large spiders! Over a couple of hours, we cleared rubbish, cut back the overgrowth and helped transform the garden into a much more manageable space.
And there was no getting out of it for SureSafe’s newest team member Apprentice Ollie joined the team too, giving him the opportunity to experience the importance of teamwork, helping others and giving back to the local community.
With SureSafe Electrics having strong links to the Halebank area, with its headquarters based at Widnes Business Park on Waterside Lane. The company is an established electrical contractor working across the Northwest and has a strong focus on supporting its local community.
Definitely a couple of hours well spent! 😊
