It has always been an ambition of mine to start my own business and that dream became a reality in December 2011.
It has been slow, steady progress to build up to the company that we have today.
I have only been able to achieve this goal with the help of my amazing team of electricians, apprentices and office staff who work incredibly hard every day.
The hope is that we continue to thrive and grow and become the leading electrical contractor in the North West.
I joined SureSafe Electrics in June 2015 as Office Manager.
I have over 30 years’ experience working in various offices in Widnes and Runcorn. 25 of which were either in a supervisory role or as an office manager.
My role at SureSafe Electrics involves supervising 5 members of staff together with looking after the HR, fleet management, payroll and accreditations along with attending various functions with an aim to help raise the company profile.
When I joined the company, it was still developing and I have had great satisfaction helping our MD achieve the aim of growing the company and making it one of the North West’s leading electrical contractors.
I joined Sure Safe Electrics in August 2018 as an office administrator. I had previously worked in contact centres and office-based roles for over 10 years.
After a year of developing my skills and knowledge of the business, I was promoted to office supervisor in August 2019. I currently supervise 4 members of staff within the office.
My main job includes managing the day to day work load within the office, this includes managing electrical certificates, tick sheets, invoices, daily planning meetings, liaising with clients and adding jobs on to our planning system.
I also assist the MD, Office Manager and the Contracts/Compliance Managers with additional work. The office has a strong family feel and we all work together as a team to ensure the end result is met, it’s great to be a part of it.

Dan Smith MIET
I joined SureSafe Electrics in July 2015 as an Electrical test engineer bringing with me 10 years of electrical knowledge and experience. I have worked all over the Northwest and surrounding areas in industrial, commercial and domestic environments.
In 2017 I was promoted to Electrical Compliance Manager. This requires me to monitor systems for inspection and maintenance of electrical services and appliances and taking action on relevant legislation and safety standards.
I also undertake compliance audits to ensure works are completed in accordance with the contract specification.
I started with Sure Safe Electrics as an apprentice in 2017. I left in 2019 and have recently returned as an office administrator.
My main duties include completing electrical certificates, booking in appointments and producing invoices.
My interests outside work include seeing family and friends, music and cinema.
I joined Sure Safe Electrics in January 2016 as an office administrator. I feel that since I started my job, I have really progressed both professionally and as a person.
My role within the company is varied. My main role is to check our supplier invoices and approve for payment. Additional to this, I raise invoices, tick sheets and electrical certificates when required.
Our office has a strong family feel with everyone always happy to help one another and it is a joy to be a part of that.
I’m Bella the regular office dog.
I have been coming to the office with my human for almost a year now and keep everyone smiling and entertained.
My duties involve naps, walks, zoomies, looking cute for cuddles, barking at delivery drivers and sneaking treats from the MD (I think I’m the favourite).
I also hosted our annual Christmas dog party last year and found it was a success, despite the odd accident.
I woof going to Sure Safe Electrics it’s a lovely place to be.
