Daniel Smith MIET

Operations Director

I joined Sure Safe Electrics in July 2015 as a ‘Testing Engineer’ bringing with me 10 years of
electrical knowledge and experience. I have worked all over the Northwest and surrounding areas on
various projects in industrial, commercial and domestic environments.

In 2017 I was promoted to ‘Electrical Compliance Manager’ (NICEIC Supervisor). This required me to
monitor systems for inspection and maintenance of electrical services, acting on relevant legislation
and safety standards and client’s specifications and requirements.

In 2019 I extended my job role to ‘Electrical Contracts & Compliance Manager’. Managing various
contracts for various social housing clients

In 2024 I was pleased to accept the position of ‘Operations Director’. I’m now developing and
implementing policies and procedures to ensure that core operational functions achieve our business
objectives. Working closely with my staff I strive to take Sure Safe Electrics to the next level.

Office Manager

I joined SureSafe Electrics in June 2015 as Office Manager.

I have over 30 years’ experience working in various offices in Widnes and Runcorn. 25 of which were either in a supervisory role or as an office manager.

My role at SureSafe Electrics involves supervising 5 members of staff together with looking after the HR, fleet management, payroll and accreditations along with attending various functions with an aim to help raise the company profile.

When I joined the company, it was still developing and I have had great satisfaction helping our MD achieve the aim of growing the company and making it one of the North West’s leading electrical contractors.

I left school in 2002 and went straight into an apprentice electrician role qualifying in December 2005 working all over the UK on Commercial and Industrial Projects and some local Domestic Projects.

I went on to other companies gaining a lot of Knowledge and Experience especially in a Commercial setting Running my own Jobs such as hospital refits and school extensions.

I joined SureSafe in April of 2023 as an electrician with a view of pushing myself up the ladder where I have gained my NICEIC QS status and now Electrical manager since May 2025.

I hope to try and bring in some more commercial clients to broaden our client base.

Lindsay Brabin

Office Supervisor

I joined Sure Safe Electrics in August 2018 as an office administrator. I had previously worked in contact centres and office-based roles for over 10 years.

After a year of developing my skills and knowledge of the business, I was promoted to office supervisor in August 2019. I currently supervise 4 members of staff within the office.

My main job includes managing the day to day work load within the office, this includes managing electrical certificates, tick sheets, invoices, daily planning meetings, liaising with clients and adding jobs on to our planning system.

I also assist the MD, Office Manager and the Contracts/Compliance Managers with additional work. The office has a strong family feel and we all work together as a team to ensure the end result is met, it’s great to be a part of it.

Health & Safety Manager

I joined Suresafe on a part-time basis in November 2020 having previously provided Health & Safety advice to the company for a number of years, my current role involves the on-going monitoring and implementation of Health & Safety processes, delivering Health & Safety training and completing Electrical Certificates.

I am NEBOSH qualified and IOSH registered and have over 40 years experience in a variety of working environments including both the Public and Private sectors.

Stephen Nevitt

I started my career in 1980 as an apprentice working my up to become a qualified electrician, over the years I have worked on many large projects from new build blocks of flats, supermarkets to hotels etc etc, in 2010 I was promoted to electrical supervisor at a previous employer eventually gaining a manager’s role. I have known Suresafe electrics since they opened and have worked besides them and recently now joined the team,  I hope to share my vast knowledge with the operatives and office staff  and hope to serve for many years. I have gained my NICEIC accreditation in 2010 and serve as an NICEIC qualified supervisor since.

Office Administrator

I joined Sure Safe Electrics in January 2016 as an office administrator. I feel that since I started my job, I have really progressed both professionally and as a person.

My role within the company is varied. My main role is to check our supplier invoices and approve for payment. Additional to this, I raise invoices, tick sheets and electrical certificates when required.

Our office has a strong family feel with everyone always happy to help one another and it is a joy to be a part of that.

I joined Sure Safe Electrics in March 2022 as office administrator.

I have over 25 Years’ experience working in administration.

My role at Sure safe electrics is completing electrical certificates and booking in appointments.

The office is very family orientated and we all work as a team.

Outside of work I like going on holidays, walking and spending time with my family.

I joined Sure Safe Electrics in January 2023 as a business admin apprentice.  I have since completed and passed my apprenticeship in April 2024 receiving a distinction in all exams.

My role within the office includes booking in and planning appointments, completing electrical certificates and also filling in the application for payments monthly.

Outside of work, I like to go on holidays and city breaks, and also spend time with my family and friends.
